This comic was inspired by watching back to back episodes of Tales of Wells Fargo, a TV Western that aired in the late fifties and early sixties. The protagonist, a deputy named Jim Hardie, kept making laughably terrible choices: unnecessarily jumping through windows, hiding in plain sight, swinging down from the rafters of a barn like Tarzan, and literally taking the cuffs off his prisoner and giving him back his gun when his gang showed up to rescue him.
